Mirror Lakes are situated in the Eglinton Valley. Only a 5 minute walk from the Milford Highway, the forest canopy opens up to reveal outstanding reflective views of majestic snow-capped mountains, against a backdrop of beech forest. Native birds are often seen feeding on or around the lakes.
Established in 1952, Fiordland National Park is a vast, remote wilderness in the South West New Zealand World Heritage Area. The power of Fiordland’s scenery never fails to impress travellers and adventurers; waterfalls tumble hundreds of metres into massive fiords, ancient rainforests cloak the landscape and cling impossibly to sheer mountain faces, and the spectacular sounds, lakes, valleys, saddles and peaks look the same today as they did thousands of years ago.
